Wording Help - Bar Service!

I need some help putting the verbage into our program about the bar service we plan to have.  Just KIR we cannot afford an open bar so we are covering a large portion of the bar in the cocktail hour.  BUT I also want guests to know they can purchases their own drinks after we have covered our part.  This is what I have but I'd like something cuter or catchier.  TIA for helping.

The Bride and Groom are hosting limited bar services during Cocktail Hour.  Please enjoy a drink or two on us.  Beverages such as sodas and water will also be available at this time.

Bar services will convert to a cash option after Cocktail Hour.  Guests are welcome to purchse their own beverages at this time.

I went to a wedding where at the bar there was a sign at the bar explaning the bar situation. I think this was easier than trying to explain in the program

    Open Bar 6-7
    Bar closed 7-8
    Cash Bar 8-12

Best believe I knew that meant a 3 drink cocktail hour was necessaru

<div>I like this option better than placing wording in the program. </div>

  • What are the limits on your bar? Beer and Wine? PP sounds good, but open bar sounds like everything.  We're hosting beer, wine and a signature drink for cocktail hour only. I think that our plan was to have a sign that says what we are hosting and then the venue coordinator was going to discreetly notify guests that it converts to cash after cocktail hour.
  • Open meaning the whole bar but we are only covering up to a set dollar amount.  So it is an open choice bar but not an unlimited bar.  That's the part I struggle with because I dont want guests to go overboard  and the bill be out of control.  But I like what pp are saying.  Plus I am sure I can ask my coordinator to watch the tab
