Strippers at my bridal shower?!

Omg I'm officially terrified of my bridal shower! Lol Last Sunday one bm came to my house to try on her dress. She started complaining about the planning of my bridal shower. She thought the bm in charge of planning was doing too much and turning it into a party. I wasn't surprised because my bm is a very over the top type of person. Well Last night this chick called me asking me about my guests and if they would be uncomfortable with a stripper. Are you serious?! It's a bridal shower not a bachelorette party. This chick had the nerve to say she googled bridal showers and some of them have strippers. Omg! Kill me now!! Lol

I have definitely heard of bridal showers transitioning into bachelorette parties. I am glad she asked about your guests before just assuming it would be ok.

I didn't know strippers at bridal shower was the new trend. I told her to save it for the bachelorette party weekend.

No! No! No! Not at bridal shower. lolz. Gently remind her that many brides invite their  grandmothers, church friends, co-workers, etc. to their showers and save the raunchy stuff for the bachelorette party with the bm's and close friends. Can you imagine the look on grandma's face when "insert nasty stripper name here" comes out of the back in his g-string?!? lol Priceless!! Good thing she asked first.

This is exactly how my sisters was.  It started out as a bridal shower and then at the end of the night, unbeknownst to her (and the rest of us), a stripper walks in.  Her mom (we have different moms, but the same dad) was the one that set it up.  During the shower, her mom whispers to me that she had hired a stripper and I immediately thought oh my sister isn't gonna like that and she didn't, she was so embarrassed and uncomfortable.  I think its ok to have bridal shower transition to a bachelorette party, but who ever is hosting the shower just has to know the bride.  If she isn't the type that's in to strippers, that I wouldn't do it.  You also have to keep in mind that you might invite a different crowd of people to a bridal shower then you would a bachelorette party. Like you might invite your grandmother or older ladies from the church to a bridal shower, whereas you probably wouldn't invite them to a bachelorette party.  For my sisters, all we kept thinking was thank God our gramdna and the other older guests had left by the time the stripper got there.  <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-undecided.gif" border="0" alt="Undecided" title="Undecided" />

girl..you seee how Kandi's mother reacted to ReDICKulous..at the birthday party (real housewives of atlanta).....keep it classy for the shower..then let your hair down for the bachelorette partaaayyyy...(since you and your girls of about the same age would be able to enjoy such entertainment)

PS..if your not comfortable with a stripper at all..communicate that to your girls.. That was my only stipulation (NO STIPPERS)...and we still had fun!

I don't want strippers no where near ANY of my wedding festivities from start to finish so ummm....lol, yea she is wilin' for that one...lol
