Invitation wording help!

Ladies I am stumped.  I like the traditional wording better than the modern but I am not having a church wedding.  Will anyone care if I use the traditional wording?  Help me please!!!

IF they care... they have too much time on their hands. I didn't even know there was a difference. LOL

They probably won't care and neither should you. We used traditonal wording (ie. the phrase "request the honor of your presence" in our invitations for our very religious ceremony not held in a church. This rule is so silly. So because my venue is not a place of worship, God's presence won't be there?  God is certainly not limited to a building. It's just plain stupid.

Ditto!  I just ordered my invites and used the traditional wording.  I'm excited and that is all that matters.  I have decided to stop caring so much about all the rules; my friends and family don't care so neither should I.  All I care is that the people I want to share this special day with are there and have a good time.

This exactly. I have barely consulted anyone outside of my DOC about things because we are going to do what WE like!

I used traditional wording & my wedding wasn't at a church. Like the pp said, go with what you like. And trust.....folks will not care about the wording. And if they do, who cares about that..lol?!
