Hi Ladies

I've been lurking on this board for quite some time and you ladies seem really helpful. I got engaged since Feb 13, 2010 and started planning right away. Our wedding is  August 14, 2011 and we plan on having about 120pp. We just put our invites in the mail on Monday!! Yay...

We've pretty much taken care of just about everything. Well with the exception of programs, place cards ect. 

I'm now thinking about all the important songs and could really use you help.

Congrats on sending out the invitations!

I have not gotten all of my music down but the bouquet toss will definitely be Beyonce "single ladies".  Of course there are the old stand bys for the first dance.

I am still looking for songs too.  I have been looking on youtube they have a ton of songs.  Just search wedding song.  I think I am going to try and use that song the Jamie Foxx sang on his old show when he married Fancy.  Oh it is beautiful but he never recorded it.  I can only find it from the show so I am not sure the sound quality will be good enough for the wedding.  It's called Today I marry my angel.  So beautiful.  Good luck!

We are having a New York Themed Wedding, so our introduction will be a mix of songs beginning with Frank Sinatra's "New York, New York," the DJ will then go into a mix which will include Jay Z's "Welcome to NYC," Notorious B.I.G. "Where Brooklyn At," MC Shan, "The Bridge, BDP "The South Bronx," and it will end with us finally coming out to Jay Z/Alicia Keys "Empire State of Mind."  Hey I love my city.

First Dance, Kem "I Can't Stop Loving You"

Garter Toss: Lenny Kravitz "American Woman."  (My fiance is Canadian and we thought it would be funny if he wears a Canadian flag while he remvoes the garter from this American woman.

Bouquet Toss: I was going to use "Single Ladies" but I think I like "Pretty Girl Rock" better.
