have you heard about Culver Events? I just contaceted them and they said their wedding package is $6000, but it includes food, photography, dj, video projection, bartenders, servers, linens and overlays, chair covers, cake, like everything I need. What do you think? Too good to be true?

I want to have the wedding in LA because we have to get to the airport early the next day, so being out there already will make things easier for me.

I'm not in the LA area but I did some research for you. They aren't a BBB accredited business, they only had two complaints through the BBB though. I also find a few other places with reviews. My hall is very similar, I'm getting alot for my money and I also thought it was too good to be true but I did my research and they even let me come see a few receptions from behind the scenes!

thanks tyswife...  can you tell me whats wrong with it? or was it just too close to work?
i talked with the venue that i booked already, and they are going to try and match the offer... so we shall see how that goes... any suggestions on la venues?

There isnt anything wrong with it...its just not what we are looking for and on top of that, it is too close to work.

i want a venue that has charm and personality, and has good prices. Having something that is all inclusive works great because I have so many outside costs. I dont know where to look out there and I would hate to get out there and find nothing. LA works great for me though, half my guest list is from LA, and I wont miss my plane the next morning LOL. I think LA is the better option, but the sting of loosing $1000 deposit hurts real bad!
