OK, I've been MIA for awhile, so this is a little long. FI and I have an A list 94 and B list 12. The A list alone totals $660 above our budget. My suggestion is to eliminate the B list and just invite the A. OK, the genious wants to keep both lists!!! I explained it makes no sense because we would ultimately still pay over what we originally budgeted.
Even better, he removed maybe three guests from the list and added five people (great uncles and aunts I HAVE NEVER MET or HEARD OF until the wedding was made "public"). The best part, I'm talking to him while I'm at work and he tells me he forgot to add someone on the guest list...another great aunt!! WTF I politely excused myself from conversing further. BTW- When he originally added great aunties and uncles, I asked for the last names and he said "I don't know"! OK, if it was not for him having conjunctivitis, I would have socked him in his eye!!!!!!!!!
The finale of our discussion about the lists was this statement made by FI "Be prepared to make cuts when we send out invites"...W***T***F???? At this point, the only cuts I am willing to do involves his greatly appreciated body:) For real, I am so close to beating his azz as he sleeps or while he showers...lights out!
