Lighting Questions

I recently got an update email from our DJ with info on lighting specials.  The thing is I'm not sure if we need any special lighting for our venue.  Here's a picture of our ballroom with the venue lights as is:

 

Now here is the dancefloor with the lights off: 



I'm kind of thinking we really don't need extra lighting because the outer smaller light can be on or dimmed at certain levels while the bigger lights can just be shut off altogether.
What do you all think? TIA

I don't think you'll need it. Vendors are always trying to sell extra stuff (I'm not mad at 'em for it, I'm just sayin... lol), and the industry is always trying to tell us what we NEED or have to have.

Your lighting looks fine to me.

It looks good to me, just make sure the lights are turned down when you are ready for the party to begin!

Get the lighting. This was and is still my 1 regret. I so wish we would have shelled out the extra money for the lighting.

Like you, I thought that the venue lighting would be fine. And ours was. Our ballroom at 3 HUGE chandeliers and lighting along the walls. When it was dimmed, it was very pretty. However, I think that uplighting would have set it off.

I was going to suggest maybe putting UP lighting on your wish list.  call around and get pricing. If you can afford to add it.  then add it.

Hmm Some lighting is so pretty but I am  not sure if it is necessary! If I had an unlimited budget that would be on there... but I don't! So no special lighting for us!
