Hey Yall!! Here's whats going on with me...whats going on with you?

Hey Bride Family,

How are ya? So I thought I would share a little update with yall and plus it helps me keep things clear in my mind.

So here goes...
Another bride listed 80 bubbles with black and white ribbons on them in the classified section. All for $7.00. So I purchased them. That bride went through and glued these cute ribbons on them and I am excited because that's one less thing for me.  I need 125 total but I can easily get those. I am so not a crafty person so having a good portion already done is great for me!

I found a dress! Hopefully, I will have some time tomorrow to go pay the deposit. I have so much to do tomorrow so either Friday or Saturday.. it is a go!!

I spoke to our DJ today. Got on his calendar. He is a childhood friend and he told me I don't have to pay a deposit!! WOOOO HOO! He also sent us the wedding songs form, which I plan to let FI complete.

I think that is really it. I have a bunch life bills to pay and I wish Direct TV would understand that I am planning a wedding and just let the cable bill ride! LOL

Now share about you... Wedding and NWR

LOL @ direct tv! You have been busy with some great checks. Let's see I go Thurs for my final fitting and Friday for my bridal portraits, then Saturday is our Jack & Jill shower. I have gotten a lot of DIY stuff done but quite a few more to do. I'm just glad I got my parasols done. I also ordered a bunch of stuff we still needed. I think the fedex dude hates us LMAO!(he has no idea how many more times he has gotta see us in the next couple weeks!).I have just one more vendor to pay off (Thank God for a wedding with no debt!). FI and I have started attending the church that we are getting married in and we LOVE it there! I am so excited to get to work in th church with the Pastor's wife. Whew I'm tired from typing all that LOL.

WR: I tried on my dress yesterday. I love it, but more important so does my grandma!  I thought she would think its a little fast since its a mermaid. I knew that the bust and waist alterations were included in the purchase price, but they did the bustle at no charge either.

I think that we have resolved all of our budget issues and I won't have to live without anything else.

RSVP's are still coming in.  I think we are going to end up with 70 people including FI and me.

NWR: Still looking for a job. Consulting for a group in LB and picked up 3 more events for my calendar.  I need more where that came from.

I have the chance to go to NOLA Sept 26-28 with my friend who works for HBO. She is going down to do some meetings for Season 3 of Treme.  She said they are putting her up at the W and I just need to buy a plane ticket.  I think I have to pass on the trip because I don't want to spend all my contingency money on the plane ticket.  Boo!

LOL @ KSK2012 with the Direct TV Bill.  I wish I could let my car payment ride this month....

WR: Got the totes for the bridesmaids.  All except 3 bridesmaids have ordered their shoes (they are seasonal at DSW).  Made a payment to the photographer, planner, and venue.  I have engagement photos next friday.  And FI is working hard on the monogram an invitations.

NWR:  FINALLY getting adjusted to being back in school.  This weekend I plan to work ahead (at least until Oct.4 assignments) to give me some time to work on some DIY projects.  I really gotta get back into the groove of cooking on a regular because I start that 30 day shred program on Monday.  Oh, and FI and I have been scouting neighborhoods for houses we want to live in.  (I can't be too close in proximity to my mom, she really knows how to work a nerve!)

LMBO @ letting Direct TV & car note ride.

WR: I've gotten the linens, and other ceremony decor and set up the tasting. Booked my officient from Chi-town and I've set up flower consultations. I'm now looking for quotes on tents and reception rentals (place settings, etc). I'd love to be able to buy little things like gifts, totes, etc but I can't because lately all my extra money has been eaten up by small catastrophies here and there.

NWR: Had to buy a new car - yay and boo cause I HAD to, didn't want to. Lawd, I love not having a note. But I only had to go one day without a car, so I'm thankful I was able. Now my money is stretched to the end and FI and I are both considering second jobs so we can get a nice cushion. I'm having horrible job satisfaction right now. I really want to just stop and start life over. I realize that is impossible so I'm making the best of it.

    * I wish erybody would let them bills ride lol

"Bride Family" - I love it!!!

You ladies are now closer to me on this wedding planning journey than my own family and IRL friends.

Okay I have put together my first attempt at an agenda for our honeymoon. This trip is going to be a beast. Excited and nervous all at the same time.

Sunday after wedding leave Houston arrive in London Monday morning
Tuesday take train to Paris and spend the night and return
Thursday leave London and fly to Lagos, Friday spend the weekend with FI family
Sunday take a car to Ghana and spend 3 days
Wednesday return back to Lagos and take a direct flight back to Houston.

Wow this honeymoon is going to be an adventure!!!!

Carla1019: I am so jealous of your honeymoon in Africa.  My first choice was South Africa as a destination, but it was outside of our budget.  Thus, FI agreed to St. Lucia for a week. Please share pictures!

Hey Ladies!!! Let's see where to start....
WR: I just purchased some napkings and tablecloths from another bride to add pop to my reception site. I bought the stuff to make my broom so I will be diying that this weekend. Also going to the Fashion district to look at dresses, jewelery and baskets on Saturday. If they don't have any baskets I will order them online. Going by Michaels tonight to see what they got but after that I can't buy much more for now because of bills. My MOH hasn't responded to my texts and hasn't bought her dress, shoes, booked a room or a flight. I'm 91 days out so we will see how this goes. My other MOH is my sister and she is a college student and can't afford to book her stuff ;so I am stressing because we want to pay everything before we get there and just have to worry about the food the day of the wedding (it is family style so price is based on head count which we don't give until 3 days out but our deposit covers that and we paid $500 already) but she needs me to pay for her dress and flight too which is another $500 and I have to make sure my kids have a good Christmas. Whew! That was a lot. Lol! I also am freaking a litlle because it is 91 days out and I know that is going to fly; lot's of stuff to do and pay and not enough time to get it done. Lol!

NWR: Nothing much just life. Lol!  Wish all companies and creditors would give you a pass when you are paying for a wedding. Lol!  Love the directtv one though;I so feel you on that one. Lol!

    Have a great one sisters!
Until the first full year of being one! Anniversary

Thanks!! I plan on checking in and sharing pictures asap! We are spending a lot of time in airports so I should be posting while traveling. Too bad I can't get online in the air. I need ways to kill 12 hours besides sleeping.

St. Lucia is a great honeymoon. I hope we can go there for an anniversary.
