rsvp questions

Ladies,
when you are doing the rsvp card, does the date need to be spelled all the way out or can i write it as we normally would write a date?

Do you mean when you say "the honor/honour of your reply is requested by..." ?

I wrote mine like "twenty-seventh of November"

This is what I thought up so far:
The favor of your reply is requested by March 18th, 2011.

I have to meet with the hotel/chef to give them final count on the 25th.

    whatcha think??

I think the format of the date depends on the formality of the invite.  Since mine weren't too formal, I used December 23, 2010.

Would you consider a hotel wedding on a Friday night formal? Even my mother is lost on this one.

I don't think the day of the week is as important as the feel of the event.  For example, if you all envision a semi-formal, plated meal and the wedding party are wearing formal gowns and tuxedos, then  would classify this as a more formal event, hence a more formal invitation.

    Hope this helps.
