Seating

So I was looking at my guest list this morning and just thinking about recent conversations with family on both sides who say for now they are attending because we are having buffet we are not doing place cards just escort cards so I'm thinking of mixing up the family for ex: we have 2 sets of aunt and uncles that are married so I was thinking of putting them together then we singles aunt and uncles and putting them together, half my cousins half his and so on. I think because our aunts and uncles are oot it will be a great way for everybody to meet and get to know one another !
How are you seating your folks ?

We are sitting families separately. Both of our families are coming from all over so I know they'd rather sit with each other and have a good time then try to make small talk with strangers that they probably won't see again or for years.

I figure for dinner they could sit together for a hour..once the dancing and festivities kick off they can move around and then sit where they want to. Where are your grandparents sitting ?

I'm doing what OP is doing this way it will be people at each table they know and don't know. I can't wait to hear the stories that come out of the arrangments.
