MIL threats... "Im not coming to the wedding!"

WOW! This lady is off the chains. She called me crying yesterday about all sorts of drama.  She's mad at hubby's siblings because SHE FEELS they haven't called to check in on her. So she's threatening to not come to the wedding because she feels like she's going to snap on them. I told her that if she cannot control herself then maybe its best that she stays home. Then she demanded to be walked down the aisle by some guy that isn't even invited, has no seat, or a plate of food! She said she's gonna call him today and see if he can come. Seriously? I honestly prefer that she not come, but there will be such a backlash if I told her that. This wedding is for one day, I don't want to be dealing with that backlash for the rest of my life. I knew she would be difficult. Hubby doesn't care if she doesn't show. He doesn't want her mess. I would have him deal with her so I don't have the added stress 1 day before my wedding. but she's not speaking to him because he didn't invite one of HER friends. Im done!

    People start acting up the last 10 days of your wedding. That is craziness.

    Honestly, I wouldnt pay her any mind. Leave everything as it is. If she shows up, great, if not, thats fine too.

    I agree with pp. Don't worry about it.My drama started last night and I tried to ignore it, but it brought me to tears!!!

    Pray for patience. She'a attention seeking and it's your time to shine. Put no energy into that mess. Do tell her to choose an escort that is actually invited to the wedding. Tell her at this point the caterers can't add another person.
