    1. First Name & Fiance's First Name: Kia - Malcolm

    2. Your Birthday & Age and Fiance's Birthday and Age: 6/23 age 28 - Fi is 12/17 age 34

    3. City Born In? Philly

    4. City Live in? Philly

    5. Where did you go to college? Hampton my first year. And then took classes at community and Temple

    6. What was your major? Accounting

    7. What is your current job? Accounting

    8. What is your dream job? Record label excutive

    9. How did you and your fiance meet? A mutual friend invited me to a barbeque at fis house at the time. 8 years ago

    10.  When did you get engaged and how did he do it?? It was a complete surprise.

It was the night before Malcolm's best friend was going to get married. Since were all a close net group of friends. We had a mini coed bachelor party for him the night before. It was a blast. Old school hip hop, dancing, and of course "libations". :-). Also it was a little pick us up, because we had lost Malcolm's ccousin to an accident a couple of weeks before that. :-( Apparently, everyone knew except me. He had been trying to do it the whole night, but didnt find the right moment. Personally I think he was scared. lol After the partying ended, we went back to his house. To be honest, I dont remember what I was doing. All I know is that when I turned around he was on one knee. I was completely shocked. It was perfect for me, just the two of us. There was nothing but love in the room and in his eyes as he proposed. I dont think Ive ever been that filled up with love in my life. And then the journey of planning began.

    11. When is the Wedding Day? June 26, 2010

    12. Where is the ceremony and reception? Bensalem, Pa

    13. What are your wedding colors? red, white & black

    14. Where are you honeymooning? Sandals all inclusive, in the bahamas

    15. Favorite wedding vendor so far? My photographer. Her personality is so great to be around. It obvious that she loves what she does for a living. Her whole family actually. Her husband and kids were with us the whole time that we did our e-pics. Its was so much fun, that her husband said that he will be our second photog instead of an intern.

    16. Biggest wedding splurge? Honestly, nothing really. Dont want moms and dad or us to have to file bankruptcy after this lol

    17. What is something you wish you could have at the wedding but don't? The roots band and chair covers.

    18. Another knottie wedding you'd like to attend? I have to choose just one, aww man. Im thinking miabride. Her venue is awesome and looks like it will be a great party.  Plus I can steal her shoes when its over lol

    19. Favorite book? I read a lot.  I dont think that I have one. But as Im writing this, the coldest winter ever keeps popping in my head. So I'll say the coldest winter ever.

    20. Favorite movie? The note book

    21. Favorite tv show? Since sundays are the only days that I have absolutely nothing to do, being as though I have a fulltime and part time job, I'll say bridezilla. Those girls make me feel normal.

    22. Favorite wedding dress designer? Dont have a favorite. If its is nicely made. It doesnt matter who the designer is.

    23. Any advice you can give? Just take time out with fi, NWR. A date night or just a few hours before bed to check in with him and see how he is doing outside of wedding stuff. This will definitely make the bond stronger.

    24. Anything you wish you could change about your wedding? If I knew that families would be such a hassle and nerve racking. I would have had a dw, with just us and our parents. And maybe came home and had a little reception.

    25. Share something about yourself!!  Im a fun loving philly girl who is the perfect balance of party girl and nerd. I can handle my business at work, sight see at a museum or shake it up at the club. Love me or hate me. But either way I'll still always be me.

There are a few of us with Accounting majors here...

What made you decide to major in Accounting?

What vacation spots have you been to?

Are you one of those women who has dreamed of her wedding day since she was a little girl?

Kia - I fell into accounting too. We have the same story.

I was a Bio Pre Med major but realized science was NOT my cup of tea. I was way better in math and have always been so it just fit for me.

    I love it too!

Wow...I wonder if we have anything else in common (aside that we are both 28 and summer babies...I am 8/22). Laughing

Im actually excited ! This year feels like I will have a two week celebration. Starting with the rehearsal dinner on the 22nd ( open bar, thanks ffil ) to we come back from the honeymoon on july 5th.
So nope, but we are actually crazy for getting married in june.

Our wedding date is my moms birthday. Which fi picked randomly, without even knowing. His youngest daughters birthday & my god sons birthday is june 30. And his oldest daughters birthday is july 2nd. So we pretty much screwed ourselves all the way around on this one. lmao

But we said that we will work it out. I guess this year will be the test. Wish me luck lol

    Oh yea...youre screwed...LOL!

Just look at it like this...although it seems like a lot, it will all be out of the way...ha ha ha

For us, it seems like every single month something is happening...EVERY year...sheesh...

Jan - FI Birthday and FBIL bday
Feb - My mom bday and FBIL bday
March - My uncle and stepfather bday
    April - FFIL Bday
May - Our Daughter bday, FMIL bday
June - My Grandma Bday, FI Aunt bday
    July - My aunt bday
    August - My bday
    September - My cousins bday
    October - My bro bday
    November - Nothing
December - Our Anni...which will change but we will still acknowledge...

This is the kind of stuff that happens when you are close with your family...I feel like every year is filled with SOMETHING...

Not to mention the fact that my bro is in 12th grade so his prom is  aweek before our daughter 1st bday party and his graduation is a few weeks later in June...

    MY GOODNESS!!!

Not to mention all the holidays that fall in between...

I feel you. I didnt even get into that part. And with fi's family now added to the mix, there will be no rest. lol

I forgot about the grads. Fis niece is asking us to rent her a shore house for her grad & birthday family.present. Which is in june also. Not a regular $500 for the weekend house. This chick want a $4000 rental. I almost dropped the computer and back slapped her. Even split thats a nice chunk.
Sorry boo, boo maybe when you graduate from college. Or lets be safe, grad school. lol

    OH HELL NO!!!

Can I get a $4000 contribution to my wedding fund please?!?

    That is INSANE!

Yes...grad school would be the best...

I would feel better if she asked for a vacation or something...idk...

But $4000, thats a bit extreme!

Yes ! She is feeling herself way too hard. When I met her a few years ago, she was a little mean, a little tom boyish, no heels, just chilling kid.
NOW, she thinks that the universe revolves around her. Its amazing. I miss the other little girl. Sigh.

I just keep thinking was I that way as a teen ????

Its defintiely diiferent. lol. Fis daughter ask for a coach pocket book. You are 12 !!!! I didnt get my first coach until I was in my 20s. But these kids dont wanna work for anything. My strategy as a kid was to at least be able to say, "mom I have x y z. Can you put the rest up, please. " Not flat out, can I have $4000. My mom probably would have laughed at me so hard that I would have cried. lol

Ksturgis, I enjoyed learning about you.  Your engagement story is so sweet and personal.  I enjoyed reading about it on your bio too.  Uh yeah!  I would love to have the Roots perform at my wedding too, that would be awesome.   Have you ever seen them in concert?  More questions:

    1.  If you could name one song that describes you and FI's  relationship, what would it be?

    2.  What is your biggest pet peeve?

    3.  Where were you and what were you doing when you found out that Michael Jackson died?

    4.  What is your alter ego?

<font color="#ff0000">Sadly not an officail concert. But there used to be this little whole in the wall here. I mean literally the entrance was in an alley. But I heard them there. And Jill scott and vivian green. It was a blast. Too bad it burnt down.

In your dream job, if you could sign any recording artist who would it be and why?

What three things must you have when you leave the house?

If money were no object and you and FI had a month to travel, where would you go?
