Congrats!  Please post here and introduce yourselves and tell us all about the wedding you are envisioning!!!  Smile

Oh no!  The other new Seattle bride took down her reply!  I hope everything is ok.

I guess I'll officially "come out" and introduce myself - I've posted a few times here and on my Wedding month board but I've never done an official intro.

I'm Liz and my fiance is Jacob (I call him Jack.)  We met over 3 years ago slowly became friends over the course over several months, then became closer when we began talking about the shared fact that we'd both lost our fathers.  The next year we progressively became closer and many people expected us to begin dating, but we remained friends.  We look back at this time now and laugh, referring to it as the "Dating but not" period as we essentially were, but he hadn't yet realized, or admitted, his feelings for me (he knew how I felt.) 2 years ago, in the worst possible timing ever he decided to take that leap of faith while we were on a vacation with our mom's down in Cannon Beach.  But it all worked out in the end as we're getting married on our 3 year anniversary on August 11, 2012.

He's a Land Surveyor/Drafter and I work in the trade show industry as an event manager.  I'm also going to school essentially full time to get my AA in business management so that one day I can own my own business as an Event/Wedding Planner.  I think that this has really helped us in the planning process.

I guess that's it.  I can be a bit prolific in my posts if I'm not careful so I'll stop there - but feel free to ask me anything if you're curious!
