Mehndhi ladies/help getting dressed in MD

Hey everyone!

Does anyone have any recommendations for mehndhi ladies and someone that can help with getting ready on the wedding day? I live in Maryland and will be getting married in Baltimore. Also a question for you brides..is your make-up person staying the whole day with you? How does that work, since most of us have 2 changes? My wedding is in 3 months and I am so behind right now and freaking out...any help would be great!

thank you!

    Hi ndngem,
Its funny I just answered a post very similar to yours not only 2days ago. My wedding is in philly but I live in MD so my makeup artist is from here, she is from germantown, MD. Her name is Rima, her info in on my website (see link under my wedding ticker). Also another make up artist I was looking into was Anu singh-here is her website link- http://www.mixitupmakeup.com/. At that time Anu Singh wasnt too responsive and was busy so I went with Rima. I know another person named Sapna Desai who is a mac make up artist, she is very excellent too incase this doesnt work out. G'luck, dont worry and freak out there are plenty of ppl.

Thanks so much Nicky! I actually just gave Rima a call! Have you done a trial with her? Is she doing you hair as well and helping you get ready? I didn't realize she does it all. I will contact the others as well, thanks again! and thanks for the reminder..I will try not to freak out :)

Yea, she is doing my hair too, thats one more reason I went with her, I didnt want a separate hair person, she did my half face morning look and the other half evening look. She does your hair somewhat to show you the look and also put on fake eyelashes on one eye to give you an idea, she will travel for the event (and charges more or less depending on travel time) and was very organized and professional in my opinion as oppose to some make-up artist and gave me honest opinion. The trial is $50 I think as far as I remember and she will ask you to pay half of the total price as deposit to book her for your event. As far as mehndi ladies, ask her she knows some ppl. I am attaching a pic of the look she did for me.

You look abs. georgeous! I love the colors :)

Thank you so much for all the info!! I've had some bad experiences with some of the vendors we worked with for our engagement party..so it's really nice to hear of someone that's professional and oragnized! It makes a world of a difference!

thanks again nicky and good luck w/ the rest of the wedding planning!

You can check out thepaletteforyou.com for south asian makeup and hair. You can also view and join her on facebook.com / the palette. I have seen work at the weddings and mehndis and its really fresh looking. The prices are also reasonable. A friend of mine got married in Florida a few months ago and used this makeup artist, so i am sure she is willing to travel.
    hope it helps. good luck!
