Duplicated bridal shower gift??

We got two rice cookers...one from the registry...and one that the other person just wanted to give us ...

any ideas?

    You don't mention that you have two rice cookers.

    You just say thank you, you appreciate it and it was a thoughtful gift.

    To mention that you have two of the same thing now would not be the right thing to do, if that is what you are asking.

    Hopefully you have a gift receipt.

    Hey Sonali

    The one from the registry is the one we want to keep....the other one one didn't have a gift receipt....and I don't thinks it's nice to ask...

    The gifts were open infront of everyone...(so the dup gift is public knowledge) so I'll just pretend that I only got one when writing the thank you card...

    Bhanu, don't mention the duplicate gift even if they might have knowledge of it,  it shouldn't be in your thank you note.

    Like Sonali and Hina said, don't mention that it's a dupe. Just say thanks and then see if you can figure out where the people got it from. Some stores may take it back and give you a store credit w/o a receipt.

    Or there's always ebay :)

    Oh fsure I wont mention that its a dup ....I've written the cards and thanked them as if I only received one rice cooker...

    Thank you for the rice cooker! It'll come in very handy in our day-to-day cooking.

    Don't mention that you've got a duplicate - I got two irons and two blenders the same method (one off the registry, and another bought from another store)

    Be sure to keep your receipt for one of them, if you can take it back.

    Or if you have storage space, when the first goes broke, then you have another

    Or you can pass it around like fruit cake, if someone else needs a rice cooker :):)
