I cannot share any of my personal or political beliefs with any of my close family or friends. It is unfortunate, but I am not going to argue and whenever they start talking nonsense, I excuse myself. I once lost my mind and had a major comeapart at a "friendly" bonfire when everyone started sharing racist jokes. My brother got mad and I left. For a long time several of my family members did not speak to me because I dated a black man. I lost a lot of "friends" at that time, too. I still am very, very hesitant to make friends because of the B.S. surrounding all of that.
