He has a hernia.  We just have to watch it and see if it gets any bigger.

DH had the same kind of hernia when he was a baby.  It resolved itself. 

Both BIL and FIL have had hernia's that require surgery. 

So him having a hernia is not shocking to us and we'll just have to wait and see what happens with it.

You should see my face at this post title.  I was all "I thought DefConn was already born?!??" 

Hopefully his also resolves itself.  I know any kind of surgery on your baby is terrifying, but hernia repairs are usually pretty simple and short.

I had hernia repair surgery at 8.  The biggest annoyance was wanting to play ASAP and being told to chill out.

I hope it doesn't need surgery.  Worst thing ever was seeing 6let strapped down and taken away.

H had a hernia repair in kindergarten. I am guessing we'd know by now if either of the boys had an issue.
