This is pretty cool.  Student at what I presume would be a master class, asks to accompany Bill Joel to New York State of Mind.  Joel says yes.

Have always been a fan of his and I just get chills when I see someone like him do something so down to Earth and kind for another human being - especially an up and coming aspiring musician.  That kid will never forget that.

That was at the Blair School of Music at Vanderbilt. IDK that it's a master class, but as music programs go, it's highly competitive. The whole place only has about 30 undergraduates, I think, and it's entirely plausible that this kid was an undergrad. (I think Dharma's husband went there or was affiliated in some way, too.) 

And yes, so cool. I was actually impressed with Billy Joel's singing, too, especially doing it cold.
