Wedding Woes

s/o H's new job

I'll be a bit of a loner for 14 weeks, while H is away for training. He seems to get all purple vibes luck around here.  ;)

The shocking part is he applied for this job March 28, 2012.  How is that for a wait?!

  • 14 weeks is a long time. Any weekend visits?

Although, I'd make the best of it and make every meal that H hates, spend time with girlfriends, get to those workout classes I never make it to and be a bum the rest of the time watching trash tv.

  • 14 weeks is going to feel like forever. Is your husband a hottie? Do you have to worry about another female trying to climb into his bed?
  • Hopefully you can entertain yourself enough that the time goes by quickly.
  • Dixie, I'm thinking of taking up yoga, crossfit, taking advantage of the summer mornings.  I need to be active, otherwise I'll just drive myself crazy.

Plus since he's a hottie with a body, I'll have to worry about all those badge bunnies.

  • You're so in for competition, O-Face. You'd best get to vajazzeling and stuff.

Are you doing Tough Mudder again?
  • No such luck on that Dixie, I only did it because H did, and unless he can get a weekend free in September, it's a no go.  But I do get to do RnR Half Marathon in Vegas this year.  I'm excited about that.  I'm trying to plan my summer full of races...

  • NY Marathon.... just sayin'
  • Hee.  I'm not sure if a full is in my future any time soon, I just can get it up for one.  And it's laughable how bad the chicago registration was this year.

  • If DH could do a full marathon, you will have no problem.  He never ran before that.

  • It's not that I can't (sounds completely arrogant), I just don't know if I WANT to.  It's a lot of time, early mornings, pain, injuries...eeks.  I'm too lazy for that.

  • It is a huge time committment, I'll definitely give you that.

DH & MIL were going to do the Goofy Challenge (marathon and a half) this January but we're going to be a bit too busy..

bless your heart, oface. *i'm* too lazy for that. heck, i never would even consider a marathon. the fact that you're filling up your time with all of this competitive physical stuff is the opposite of lazy.

  • WZ, I'm childfree and as of April 22, I will be husband free too, therefore, I either a. drink myself silly or b. stay active.  I know many would choose the first option, but that's just too darned expensive.
