Wedding Woes

You know what's not fun?

Two kids taking a cat to the vet in a thunderstorm is not a good time.  The cat bit the snot out of the vet, but otherwise is okay.

We also managed to make a "pie."  It's not the traditional crusty pie.  I might have to do that next week, but that wasn't going to happen with kids.

It's supposed to storm tomorrow too.  This is why I need an indoor cardio thing.  On rainy days I can't walk and we end up baking something.

We have issues with Woody if he hears other dogs on the TV. We were trying to watch Flipping Out last night, and one of Jeff's dogs was hurt and wimpering (justifiably so) and Woody was freaking out. He barks, runs in circles and tries to hop onto the TV stand. Oh, we had to watch that week before last ep of Hoarders on mute. He is really cramping our style ;)

That's pretty funny.  The top of the cat's card actually says "Mean Cat."  There is another entry "Cat not being self.  Acting too nice."

I'll be sad when something happens to her, but I kinda want a do-over with a nice one.

One of my friends from graduate school has the meanest cat ever. She was rescued off the street and I think she is more than a little bit ferral. But my friend loves this cat so much. For the first few years of their relationship, my friend looked like a cutter from all of the damage her cat did to her, when my friend just wanted to love her.

We can all acknowledge now that her cat is Satan. But we woulnd't have her any other way. She must sedate the cat before the vet will see her.

I wish I had done some things differently with Jake. Stuff he did as a puppy isn't so cute now that he is grown. Live and learn.

Male cats are, in general, better-tempered than female ones. If you get one who's already been fixed and box-trained - a year or two old, say - they tend to be really good with families because they're mellow and love on everyone.

My male cat = the exception to that rule.
(he's very friendl but bites strangers.  especially men.  no reason)

Better kitty bites the vet than you!

The vet did say females tend to bite more and she was a stray.  She's also 13 years old.  She does bite us.  She's lost two canines so as the vet said, it shouldn't hurt as much.
