Wedding Woes

That's just awesome

They took the kid and left me with the damn dog.  Good thing I hadn't planned on leaving the house to do anything.  She's tryin to jump on our bed and other non-sense.  She is not crate trained.

Other goodness- sFIL wasn't going to put the kid in a carseat.  He thought MIL could just "right in the back with him."

I lost my eyebrows at no car seat. Damn.

And why oh why did they bring the dog just to stick you with it?

I can't stand your ILs, and I don't even know them.

    No carseat!?!??!

I would let them leave and then call the cops on them if only it wasn't putting your child at risk.

Oddly enough zilla we have no baby gates and locking her in a room seems kind of cruel.  It's a cocker spaniel.  She is a sweet dog, but I can't stand her on the furniture and in my lap.

bmom- they are staying the night and god forbid they not bring the dog.

On the arrival note:  I was in the bathroom with the door open.  All of a sudden I hear dog tags tinkling through the house and everyone walking in.  They almost busted me.

if it's not too hot, put the dog in the (fenced) yard or in the garage.

i love dogs, but I would be pissed if someone showed up at our house with their dog and no way to contain it.

why do these people have a key to your house?

No fenced in yard, no chain for the dog, and I had to put it in the garage.  Also, the door was unlocked.

We have two dogs, obviously we love dogs, yet I still get annoyed with other people's dogs in my home. I would have lost my mind at no carseat though.

I'd be seriously scared to let them take the kid somewhere if they are willing not to put him in a carseat.  Sure, you got to watch them put him in for the ride to walmart, but will they put him in for the ride home?  Geez.

I worry about this with my ILs.  Neanderthal BIL let Niece SIT ON THE BACK OF AN OPEN CONVERTIBLE, homecoming queen-style, for her daily rides home from daycare.  His explanation? "It's just a couple of blocks."  Good god, what a moron.
