Wedding Woes

I hate that HR spams us w/ 'plz join weight watchers'...

I don't have major issues w/ WW--I think it can be a decent program.
But I am NOT jumping on a scale in front of my friggin COWORKERS.
For cereal.

But they can payroll deduct the fees

WW in my office turned into a scandal.  Departments were competing against each other to see who could lose the most % of their starting weight.  So one department was tanking up before the early weigh ins and at the final they were all pale and weak from their starving and purging.  All for a gift card to to a bookstore or something.  Funny how HR hasn't pushed that again.

I just a friendly gal looking for options.

MIL was gung-ho on WW for about 6 years until she realized that she was pretty much starving herself - and when she questioned the WW leader about it, he didn't know ANYTHING.

MIL eats fairly healthy food, but the qty that WW had her eating was only about 900-950cal /day. At minimum, a person should have 1200-1400.

We got an email about WW at Work, when they meet, etc. We got a second email a few minutes later that the first email went out to the ENTIRE company and not to individuals. So someone much have b1tched that they thought they were singled out. ::head desk::

Someone actually thought they were being singled out, because he/she was "fat"? How embarrasing.

I'd just start "replying all" with articles by Paul Campos and fatblogs.

But then, I am an Uppity Fatty.

(Also, 1200 cals. is still starving.)
