Wedding Woes

Good lord. C&P

Help with baby names?

I might post this on the baby names board too, but for now I'd just like your opinions. I'm kind of at a loss for names right now. I want something literary because I love to read and I feel like a name like that will have a lot of meaning. LO is a boy and so far the only name we've come up with is Andrew from the book Ender's Game (we would call him Ender when he is little and then let him be called whatever he wants as he got older), but I want to have a few choices so I can kind of fit them to his personality when I actually meet him. His middle name is going to be Lee because it is a
 family name. Any suggestions?

Yes, don't call that poor child Ender. Sheesh.

  • Apparently she has only read one book, ever.  At least it wasn't Orson Scott Card's Hart's Hope.  That poor kid would have been stuck with the name Youth.

did anyone suggest ishmael? she will call him Ishy while he is little, and EVERYONE will know his name is supposed to be literary and not just a plain old name. you don't get "book" from andrew.

or, just name him Book, and call him Ender.

  • Ichabod.  They can call him Icky for short.  When I was pregnant with DS, I told this to my youngest stepdd who was probably in 2nd grade at the time.  She just asked "don't you think the other kids will make fun of him?"
  • i regret not naming baby mo "tv" just because i say "i love tv" so much.
