It is raining!!!

It is 67 degrees!!!!

I am wearing pants and tennis shoes!!!!

We need this rain so badly. Apparently we are having Dust Bowl era levels of drought. Of course, this happens the same morning that Jake gets sick to stomach...and he won't go out in the rain. But it's better than no rain, that is for sure.

We finally got some rain this week and our temps have dropped from the 90's (with a heat index of over 100) to upper 70's and low 80's w/no humidity. 

It was 57, FIFTY-SEVEN this morning.  I dropped DefConn off at the sitter with socks and sweatpants on.

Today is the first day all week it hasn't rained.  The break is much needed.  The street flooding has been insane.  I'm bothered by the number of people who are surprised by it, though.  We live at sea level, morons.

the reason i asked about self-defense is that it is about to rain, and one of our neighbors has this, and he wears it like that, too.  i laugh and laugh at him.

It has cooled off a bit here, too.   (Strange to think that 80 is cool.)   I was excited to wear jeans today and not have to shave my legs.

AF - we had to open a window in our bedroom to air out the smell from Jake getting sick and there was COOL BREEZE! At 77 degrees. It was amazing.

JealousE!  It has been getting down in the 70's by morning here, but not until after midnight, so you can't open windows.  I can't wait for fall...
