Yes! Yes! Yes! - Cat related

Since we got her, it's been clear that cat has not previously lived in a home with scratching posts.  Trying to get her to use one consistently has been an ongoing source of irritation, because furniture is apparently way cooler to scratch.  We have tried pretty much every method we could find.  We'd finally reached the point where we simply put protective stuff in front of all the furniture spots she been scratching and assumed that the scratching post would be decorative.Last night she hopped off the couch, walked over to the post, and started scratching.  I'm so happy.  She, of course, has no clue why I'm thrilled.

Woohoo.  What did you name her?

We named her Sato, which is one of the many internet spellings for the Japanese word for 'sweet'.  She is easily the sweetest cat I've ever been around.Even when she wakes you up at 5 AM on a Saturday trying to get you to pet her.
