Wedding Woes

I actually try NOT to have a knee jerk reaction, and I've spent the last few years trying to be more objective about stuff like that.  Now I yell at others who are bias.  I got mad at my grandmother last week because she said that "usually FAT PEOPLE get diabetes.".  WTF-ever grandma.   I just rolled my eyes and moved on.

  • There've been a couple of studies that seem to show an inverse relationship - diabetes causes fat, not the other way 'round. It's not really enough evidence to say anything either way, but interesting, IMO.I hope it didn't come across as biting your head off. But this is a particular bugaboo of mine, because I've had doctors say, straight-facedly, "You're perfectly healthy. Now lose weight." That kind of thing hurts your brain.

  • I can see where extra weight might take it's toll on your joints, but if your joints are healthy, and your numbers are good...what's the fuss?
