We have a wide-screen, flat-panel television downstairs, and a little flat-panel upstairs. They both have options for changing the "size" of the screen, from normal to wide-screen. We watch broadcast television on "normal" size (4:3, if that means anything.). Since all the stations went digital, however, we're finding that we're missing the edges of the shots. So if there's a shot of, say, House and Wilson sitting on either side of a fireplace, we'll see the fireplace beautifully, but will only get a sliver of House and Wilson.We've tried adjusting the size of the screen, and it makes no difference.I'm wondering - do any of you have this problem? Is it a digital conversion problem? A DirecTV problem? A flat-panel problem? How do I solve this - can I solve it, without upgrading to HD receivers?
