Wedding Woes

Probably totally flamworthy

But, in order to avoid recieveing attrocious gifts (like heart shaped necklaces) in the future, I have proposed that H and I each make our own registry. That way, when anniversarys, bdays, x-mas roll around, we'll each know a gift we can give the other that the recipient will be pleased with. I love presents, and I hate getting shytty ones (Carrann, I'm talking to you).

  • I think that's a great idea.

  • Do I comment on you not knowing each other well enough to pick gifts the other will like, or the snickeriness of you thinking a heart shaped necklace is atrocious but a pawprint tattoo is fine?  Decisions, decisons.

  • I have an amazon wishlist. Dh has it, because whenever someone is going to buy me something, they ask him what I want. Now he knows.

  • I'm torn between thinking this is smart and following kuus' thought about not knowing each other.  Sometimes there are things I don't know I want until DH gets me them.  Other times there are things I know he will never think of.
  • I have an amazon wishlist for this very purpose.

  • Mine is for my parents/grandparents. I got sick of them asking for an Xmas list every year.

  • HE thought the necklace would be a reminder of how much he loves me, plus, I just got a new tie rack for my jewelry....so he put thought into it, but he didn't know my HATRED for heart crap.

  • I have a geek shirt wish list on Jinx.com for that purpose. After almost 9 years together, there are still subtle nuances we're discovering about each other, so there's still the potential to get it wrong (like he kinda did last year). I see no issue with that.

  • Wow.  I guess I'm more vocal about what I HATE.  I'm surprised that H got me something I:1.  Didn't hate2.  Didn't expect
