Wedding Woes

Do you ever wonder with common misspellings...

..how in the hell people are pronouncing things?  Like the word "dilemma".  I see it spelled "delimma" on the boards all the damn time.  Do people really say it that way, such that it'd make sense for that to be the way it's spelled?

    Or "loose" instead of "lose."  This happens WAY too often to be a typo.I do wonder how basic phonics seems beyond everyone.

    Delima, delimna, dilema, dillema, dillima - Yes, I have seen all of these. And yes, I pronounce them differently in my head.People really do just write things as they hear them - how many "ring sodder" posts have we seen? - and no one thinks she has an accent, so obviously SHE'S not saying or spelling it incorrectly.
