apparently the modem was well over a year old. whoops. There was a GIANT debacle when we went to dry loop DSL from the business phone/DSL. The ONLY records they avhe are from that changover on. WHich was over a year ago. The Mr. says we should suck it up and pay $70 for a new modem. I say they can tell us what they want to do to keep us as custoemrs--yes, e have very few options but they're not working very hard for their money right now. And, yes, it is out of warrenty by over a year but 1-it's a piece of crap and 2-it's nt MY fault they can't keep records at all so can't tell us when the modem was sent to us--hell, they didn't even know it was 'their' modem.
