Cornbread should be soft and moist and sweet like cake. It should not be made with bacon, or in a skillet.And it definitely shouldn't have nasty-ass hot peppers in it! Yes, Westerners, I'm giving you the side-eye on that one. Y'all fooled me with your red chiles in cornbread once, but you'll never do it again!
