Wedding Woes

My bank damn near gave me a heart attack!

I went online to do some stuff and noticed my available balance was off by a significant amount, but I couldn't see a transaction (It was not posted).  I was WTF-ing all over the place.  I called DH just to see if he did something screwy (that I'd have to kill him for) and he didn't answer.  So I called the bank directly.  They tried to say that I hadn't paid my car payment for Oct.  But I had...And the proof was right on the screen.  She put me on hold and then came back and said there was an error and it was fixed.  I logged out and back in and it was good to go, but I was scared as hell for a second thinking I owed someone money or worse, someone had gained access to our account and was d!cking around.

It's really sick and scary that banks can essentially screw with your money without researching one dang thing until a customer calls.

Another thing to check would be your CC interest rate.  I noticed on Monday that one of my card's interest rate had increased from 8.9% to 29.99% .. WTF! I called & was told some glitch in the system had occurred but it was corrected. I wondered how many other cardholders this glitch affected & will probably go unnoticed until it's too late!

Unfortunately the increase in my cc% was no glitch.  Good thing I don't use it.
