Anxious in Seattle

So I hear about how everyone gets stressed about their wedding. Okay, I have been totally fine the WHOLE time we've been engaged.....
Until the ticker hit 2 months. Suddenly I keep waking up early anxious and I can't stop thinking about the little things that need to get done before the wedding. I know I have time, it's just overwhelming to look at it.
I'm not worried about getting married. I think that will be my fav part of the day, seeing FI who keeps my shiit together.
But thinking about all those people, hoping everything goes right, it's insane!! And now like a lead weight is sitting on my chest. Damn!!
Just wanted to vent I guess. I know this happens, but I was foolish and thought it wouldn't happen to me, lol!
Ah, so much stuff to finalize, wow, and boy are people right when they say the time flies!!
Thanks for listening!!

I am very scared for the 2 month mark! I do agree, I have been engaged over 2 years and I feel the same way. Wedding is on the brain from here on out! The good news, even though it sounds close as long as you are getting a few things done a week:) GL! And maybe look into to some relaxing techniques- yoga, facial, hot bath, music, candles, and don't think about the wedding  after 6pm- then you dream about it and can't get it off the brain so you can sleep.

Aw!!  If it makes you feel better I'm having the same thing - 5 months out! :)

I agree with pp - try some relaxing techniques and set a time to just relax and unwind not thinking about the wedding before you go to bed each night.

Maybe create a day by day check list and that might help you sleep better if you know you completed everything that needed to be done for that day.

    GL!

Althought I want to be below the 2 month mark.. i'm freaking out because i know i'll feel the same way as you.

My advice, make lists. Do lists that don't look overwhelming. Do a few things every few days. You can do it!

I completely understand since I'm now at the 5 weekends until wedding weekend!!! Although I've had a lot of sad/stressful things blow up lately that were NWR and as such, it has helped me re-evaluate what really matters for the wedding stuff. I have a list I've condensed to one page, two columns. I have a list of things that need to get done ASAP, a list for May, generic list for June and then I further break June down by week-specific tasks. It can be a tad overwhelming to look at, but at the same time, I know everything is on this list and it makes me feel better to have it organized. I don't worry that I forget something. I've even marked which items are "if I have time" meaning only if I feel like it and it doesn't cause stress (like activity coloring book for the kids, bathroom baskets, etc).

Thanks girls! I like the relaxation stuff. And the no wedding thinking after 6pm, lol!
And I have been getting a couple things done per week, so I should be good. It's just all the second guessing on some things that drives me crazy! But that's something I need to let go.
    You guys are great!

Start making a big master list. I would wake up thinking about a tiny detail that wasn't "big" enough to make it onto a checklist. I wrote it ALL out. I also sort of arranged it chronologically and gave myself due dates. Whenever something popped into my head, into the list it went! It really helped.

The only thing I'm sorry about is that as I accomplished things, I'd delete them from the list. Which felt great--except later I realized it may have helped other girls.
