Wedding Woes

DARNITALL, I purposely did NOT request voice mail on this phone

and when they put in the new phone system, they added it.I do NOT want voice mail on it.  Because I HAVE 2 work voice mails, I don't need a 3rd.But since I have the sucker, I kinda sorta have to use it...can't have students leaving a voice-mail into nothing.  Or can I?(I've already given my student asst. the password to this one and directions to check it every other day.  That's enough, right?)

Can you change your message to "Do NOT leave a message after the beep"?

I doubt telling people to not leave a message would work.  I had my vacation message on my phone for months before someone told me it was wrong.

Well, I have had bad luck w/ the 'no one checks for messages' message--people ignore it.But I did make the message VERY long.We are open MOnday, X-Y, Tues, Z-A, Wed, U-V, O-P....So they have to sit through a lot.

Work already did an enforced switch to g-mail...and I hate it.I mean, I don't hate g-mail, but, damn, do I miss outlook.  I miss being able to sort.  I miss the fact that glastname, GBCKlastname, gbck.lastname and gb.lastname @ My workplace ALL used to make it to me, and now only one does (which is my workplace, not the g-mail I think.  But, it changed when we changes systems).I mss popups that actually POPPED UP instead of sending me -emails.I miss being able to color code my calendar.Gmail is nice but...I would trade back in an instant.
