I have enough airline miles to get a $100 gc to macy's. That is the spending limit on our family gift exchange. I'm thinking of using my miles to get my sister that as her present. Thumbs up or down?

    Is this the sister that tells you your H needs a job? I'd get two $50s, give her one and keep one for yourself. Then tell her you couldn't afford $100 because your H isn't working.

    I see no issue with using miles for a free gc- that's what a lot of my Discover points go to.  Thumbs up.

    I'm pretty much only giving GCs this year. In fact, I just got a dozen different ones with my Discover Card rewards. I'll put them in a little stocking stuffer or something, but the GC is definitely the main gift.
