My 600lb life

Oh my goodness. I caught the better part of the Melisa's episode. Holy crapbags. That woman weighed over five of me.

Oh....and that boyfriend of hers.....she held onto him, but I think it was for his sperm. She wanted to be a mom more than anything. I am glad she got what she wanted.

i didn't see past the part where she was abridesmaid. i was mad at her parents for some reason, because her weight problem and food addiction could not have been her fault at all, and all they did was tease her about what she couldn't eat.

i love this show, but i kind of have the same reaction to it that i do to animal cops.

now whenever i see someone who is 600 lbs and housebound, i just think they're lazy.  i mean, these 600 lb people are out and about!  going to the dr!  getting skin removed!  scooting around!  breathing heavily and holding onto walls for support!

i'd love to get some extra skin removed.

I saw the one with the guy who ended up in a coma for a time due to Guillan Barre. I wanted to punch the mom and dad. They were the biggest enablers and they also needed to stop wearing tank tops.

Did you see Henry's story? He almost died after his skin removal surgery. Scary stuff, yo.

I saw this one, too. That mom was so happy to have that cross to bear. And WTF at him doing meth.

It seemed like no one in that family had any idea about what to do after the surgery. Like they no nutritional counseling or just any sort of therapy. Maybe they didn't show that part or something. Then there was the part where the house's electrical couldn't power the respirator so the mom had to hand bag the guy till they could get it fixed. Jeebus, I thought that was the end of the episode.

Is she wearing a bra or do you just not worry about such things after a certain point?  I am not making fun, I am generally curious.

I thought that was the end of the dude!

zsa - The Ogre was about that size, and her ...um.... chest area looked like that and she wore a bra. A sports bra. You could see the straps by her neck, that is how i know.

I would assume they don't make bras that large or that at that size there isn't much you can do.

YES ASHLEY WAS THE ONE I SAW.

btw, mom was heading down the winding road, too if you know what i mean and i think you do.  she was starting to get that front butt, as patrice o'neal would say.

That IS an achievement if you have weighed so much that your legs/knees/hips/feet won't support you.

i think ashley was the one i saw, also. i was sad that there was no mention of counseling or therapy to deal with the eating disorder.

Agreed, MNNE.  If I was too fat to walk and then lost a little weight and could walk again, I would be carrying a megaphone through the Target parking lot and huffing and puffing into it between "I CAN WALK" announcements.

Well, I'm just saying one of these people weighed more than I do at FIVE YEARS OF AGE. It isn't like not being able to walk hit them out of the blue.
