Wedding Woes

What sort of idiot

Brings white dress shorts to spend the day with two kids?

I offered chicken pasta salad for lunch and she accepted.  I didn't mention the things in it she's never had- artichokes and feta- or the onions she doesn't like.  She ate it, but I don't know if she liked it.

To get back at me she left her dirty bowl next to the sink.  It's the only reason I can think to not put the bowl in the sink.

I hate dishes in the sink. Maybe next to the sink is just the way she does it.

Where do you put your dirty dishes?  Where do you put them if you are in someone else's home?

I put dishes in the dishwasher or, if that's not an option, next to the sink in a neat and orderly pile (seriously - dishes under bowls, and all silverware in a glass). I need my sink for other things, and I can't stand to have it piled with dishes, not to mention, you can't really pile correctly in a bent sink as opposed to a flat counter.

But if I ever come to visit you, now I know.

I put my dirty dishes in the sink. If I am at someone else's house, I ask where I should put my dishes.

    This in spades.
although at someone else's house, a single meal's worth of my dishes = washed as best I can then left next to the sink.  So it's *basically* clean

Yep, same as Bmom. If the dishes are piled in the sink I just have to take them all out before I can fill the sink to wash them. Not to mention all the nastyness you get when bowls and cups fill up with water and then just sit there.

I can't think of a time when I've just grabbed a bowl of something at someone else's house, but if I did that I'd problably just wash it and put everything away as soon as I was done.
