Wedding Woes

I want pants

that don't seem to exist.

I want non-denim pants that aren't super skinny legged. I prefer wide leg pants and I can't find anything NOT super skinny. Long pants, capris, anything.

Well, I did find a nice pair at Anthro, but they were but big in the seat, and if I am spending $90 on pants, they better fit like a dream. I already have pants that have soggy bottoms.

I've seen all of the super fun colors and I am cool with a pair of magenta or eggplant colored pants, I just don't want SUPER tapered pant legs. I think I am out of luck. I couldn't even find a pair of khakis I liked at the gap.

I went to two malls and only managed to get four tops, a cami and some new underpants (aerie boy shorts - recommend). ALSO, I went into Sephora and showed incredible restraint...I only bought ONE thing, which is why I went in there, which was an eyelash curler and I used 100 points to get the philosophy sample, which I love.

Anyway, I want pants. Oh, and I got this dress....I am very excited about it.

Re: I want pants

  • Did you try White House, Black Market?

Also, I just went on to Sephora.com and they're not offering a 100 point philosophy reward.  WAAAAHHH!
  • Love that dress.

BOO on not finding pants.  I haven't pants shopped in a while.  When I did, they were super cheap from F21.  SUPER cheap.  And I'm still wearing them.  I'm sure they look like poo.  I don't care much.

Wow on showing restraint, as well.  I was in NM this weekend and bought nothing.  NOTHING.  I hate that they stalk you...

  • I was going to suggest looking for pants at Loft, but I guess you already looked there...   LOVE the dress.   I want it.

Well then.  ;)  I don't shop there, my sister does and seems to like their stuff.    You both have a similar build.

the ones I loved recently are from Express...but I've found theyr'e really a mxied bag there
  • Part of the problem is, I seem to be inbetween sizes. No matter what size I am, I seem to be inbetween sizes.

There has to be a store for me out there....tops, no problem, pants, problems.

Express hooked me up with some jeans in the fall. I checked 'em out this weekend - no dice.

    FWP.

i suggest kohl's. i found a few pairs of jeans last pring that were deeply discounted. they were so long i had to hem them, but otherwise i was shocked i found good jeans that fit that weren't covered in glitter and were also an acceptable rise that didn't show off my buttocks.
  • Why doesn't WZZ just send you her pants?  Seeing as she doesn't need (wear) them.

    WALLAH! Problem solved.  :)
  • New York & Company?

My SIL shops there and loves their pants.  Your mileage may vary.

  • I don't like Kohl's either. Everything is synthetic there, too.

I got nothing on the pants, but that dress is lovely.
  • I feel you sister. I so desperately want a pair of fun colored pants that are of a non-synthetic material and are not tapered, but also fit. Those apparently do not exist.

OK. So I am not the only one.

If you find them, or I find them, we'll let the other one know.

I got these at Kohl's. They just look/feel like jeans to me.

    75% cotton, 20% polyester, 5% spandex (approximately).

ETA: doh. Just noticed only sizes 14 and 16 left online. Your actual store might have your size. Don't discount it outright. There's plenty of cotton in there. Surely there are some dockers that would work?

  • It's going to be too hot and too humid to wear denim soon. So anything that feels like jeans and is that fitted is going to make me miserable.

Dockers are for boys. I am trying to dress less like a 12 y.o boy. I don't need to be looking like a am wearing half a HS school uniform.
