Wedding Woes

This is silly, but I'm excited

The kiddo can have book covers this year.    I'm going to show him how to make them out of paper grocery bags.   We have a ton.  He'll love decorating/drawing on them and then we can 'preserve' them with packing tape.  :)

  • I loved paper bag book covers. I didn't like the college ones because you couldn't write on them!

  • I HATED book covers.  Mine were always falling off.  <--FAIL

  • Oh I know they'll be destroyed in a month or less, but I like doing that stuff.  It will be a fun project for us.  :)

I thought all the kids did store-bought covers these days. I am glad to hear that is not the case.

And it must have been the young engineer in me, but I rigged up some super-awesome-triple-reinforced stuff that didn't fall off and lasted all damn year.  I hope my boys let me do this with them, too. :)

  • I did aluminum foil sometimes. it did not last long but was fun to write on with marker. my kids will be getting paper bag covers. paying for the cloth ones is silly/.
