Wedding Woes

Movie Review

Sinister

Ok, you all know I love all scary movies, even the terrible ones.  I like to be scared.  Ok.

This movie really got to me.  I haven't been so creeped out in a long time.

A true-crime writer moves his family to this town to be closer to where the action happened.  He doesn't tell his wife and kids HOW close - they bought the house where a whole family (except one missing daughter) was murdered.  (None of these things are spoilers)

Anyway, he finds a box in the attic labeled "Home Movies" and they are all movies of different families being killed.  These really freaked me out, and I've seen it all.

I won't spoil the rest, but I recommend this movie if you enjoy being scared.

Re: Movie Review

  • I read the wiki on this because I'm THAT lame, and yes, it sounded terrifying.

good to know! i am going to mention this to H for tonight.
  • Is it on Redbox now? I never got to see it in the theatre.

I just saw Dark Skies, and I still don't know how I feel about it. I mean, it was good, but I can't decide if I liked the ending or not. It was not as creepy as I thought it would be up until that point, and then I had ALL the creeps. I do recommend it. Definitely worth a matinee price.

  • I just checked the redbox website, bm, and it's there.

Good to know about Dark Skies.  I hope it will be in our cheap theaters in a month or so and I'll make DH take me.

  • I'm such a baby that you're desrcription is enough...I won't even wiki it.

I'm the biggest chickenshit ever when it comes to scary movies and/or haunted houses.  I cannot do it.
