Here's the story:
We are friends with this guest's (let's call him J for simplicity) sister and parents, and we invited them. We weren't even going to invite J to the wedding because we aren't very close to him. J was talking to his sister's husband about how he hasn't received an invite to our wedding, so my FI decided we should send him one just to be nice - what's another 1 or 2 people? We got the RSVP back and it's for 2 adults and 3 kids! WTF!?! We have only met J's girlfriend a few times and have NEVER met her kids. Only our close friends and family whose kids we have known for years are coming - not random kids that we never knew existed. Ugh.
