OK, so my step-mother and I were talking the other day about the guest list for our wedding, and she was asking me if I really invited all of the people that she asked me to. I said yes, of course!
She asked me why and I said well those people may be my step-family, but your my family and they are as well...
for some reason she was having a hard time with this, then all of a sudden she goes, well I think you should know I only invited them so that they would send you 2 gifts, they won't show up anyway...
I was like um...WTF?! I go are you serious? and she just shakes her head yes...
OK, really?! she looked dead serious...I'm shocked and appalled! She had me invite about 25 people, who yes they are her family, but I have never met them before...I don't even know what to say to this...I'm sure I still have the WTF look on my face...LOL, she asked me to invite these people just so they could send me and FI a gift...I seriously hope that later on she tells me that she was joking and she totally had me...otherwise, it makes me feel pretty crappy...I mean when I think of weddings, gifts are not the first thing that come to my mind...
