The word 'crafts' doesn't have to include EVERY craft--I'm not surprised when you don't carry weirdo items.

But really, NOTHING to make candles?
at ALL?

Since Michaels didn't have it either, I had to go to Hobby Lobby to get candle gel.  Which makes me pissy since I"m boycotting Hobby Lobby (but this is an emergency)

You suck.  renameyourselves "Joanns fabric and sewing and scrapbooking--nothing else'

    Michael's used to carry candlemaking supplies. They stopped at some point in the last year, which is annoying.

    Hobby Lobby is very invloved w/ some fundie groups.
    which is fine, I don't have to agree w/ everything they do.

    But they're very involved and give $$$ to ATI, Bill Gothard's homeschooling 'ministry'.  Again, whatev, so are the Duggars...but ATI's attitudes and views toward adoption are nothing short of hateful.  THey're anti-adioption and spiteful and the theology isn't sound--but theology aside, it's the anti-adoption push and the condemnation of children for the sins of the parents that pushes me over the edge.

    So I won't give $ to hobby lobby so that they can funnel it to a group like ATI.  WHich sucks because the Michaels in our area is crappy and Joanns never has wahat I want.

    Ours only had soy wax.

    I kinda needed this yesterday so I spent the company $ at Hobby Lobby.

    We're using candle gel to make fake agar for fake petri dishes :-P
