Special snowflake. Our bathroom has a separate water closet, so the toilet spray gets nowhere near the toothbrushes.

But before we lived here I always kept my toothbrush a minimum of 4 feet away from the toilet. It stays out in the open because closing it in something keeps the moisture in longer and gives the germies more time to breed.

No, but mine's not near the toilet. The toilet and shower are in a different room from the medicine cabinet and sink.

Also, I close the lid, then flush. No toilet spray at all that way.

I close the toilet lid before flushing because of toilet spray.

And also because of my fear of sewer rats crawling towards the light.

closing the lid just means the next person to open the lid gets aersolized toilet spray...really.
But my toothbrushes live in a drawer, not sure how that counts.  *spewcial snowflake*

Toilet spray can hang around for hours and rise up the next time you open the lid. Also, when the lid is closed the spray just shoots out the sides and covers a wider area than spray that is allowed to shoot straight up.

You cannot escape from toilet spray.

I have two: one in the shower and one on the counter. I do not think the toilet sprays on either one.

my toothbrush is currently in the medicine cabinet in our downstairs bathroom. I have been too lazy to move it back up to the master once the ac was fixed. When i do, it will be in the Homer Simpson toothbrush holder near the right sink (we have his and hers sinks, but i claimed them both) - there is a wall between the sinks and toilet, so no fear of spray.
