We're hosting a baby shower here for a cw...and the geniuses that are heading up the planning committee scheduled it for a Saturday. A SATURDAY! So now I have to spend money AND free time on this BS.

I have gained some poundage, but I don't know how much. I am going to re-up my membership to the gym....in the fall. I can not fathom working out right now. It is too hot.

    Yes, we are in the same boat. It's too darn hot to leave the house. Tomorrow is going to be 110.

    I'm going to the store to stock up on snacks, and I might do a exercise tape in the living room.

    The only good part of a work shower is that it gets you out of WORK.  I'd bail on a Saturday shower.

    Our LR has a west facing sliding glass door. It is too hot in our own LR to do an exercise tape. The A/C runs 24/7 and we are thinking about getting fans.

    Dude. Put a thermal curtain on that thing. Or aluminum foil, at this point.

    H and I were supposed to get up and do Netflix yoga this morning. We did not.

    DG - my husband does not like curtains. Of all of the things in the world that a person could take offense to...he hates curtains.

    Foil would make us fit in. There was another meth-related apartment fire across town. This place sure knows how to keep it classy.

    Min, I did watch Nick Lachey's wedding, and would have liked more drama. All of the baby...baby..honey..honey..got a bit old. It was a beautiful island to have a wedding though, and she is a pretty girl.

    Best thing that's happened to me health and weight-wise lately is my sister getting me a Wii for an early birthday present.  Even if you don't do the wii fit plus workouts, you want to do something to avoid the smartass comments from the balance board the whenever you do your body test.

    NOLA - I know. And I was thinking about the last time I saw him get married on TV the whole time. But you know, he's a great guy. Just like kind of guy you want when you are getting married. They guy who says, "Whatever you want." :)

    She is super pretty and seemingly very sweet. I was happy for them. I missed the first hour...what is up with her mom? Did she pass away?

    Mom just walked out of her life when she was 8 or 9, and she hasn't seen her since.

    That blows. You hardly ever hear of moms doing that. I'm surprised mom didn't resurface when she got famous/money.
