I judged a science fair with my old boss today. He asked if DH had said anything about one of our mills threatening to strike. The local HR guy has actually considered sending DH to cover the strike. There have already been threats against people and their families.
The best part, the date of the potential threat...March 16. The day after baby girl arrives. DH doesn't want to go for numerous reasons. I told him if it's going that way he should take the unpaid FMLA leave and we'll still be fine.
He also found out today that he doesn't get a bonus anymore. The level above him does. The level that went unfilled for close to 2 years and DH worked for a solid 9 months of last year. Soooooo DH gets no bonus, but his boss of 3 months does.
