Funny thing (I'm choosing to find it funny):

Remember the story oh so long ago of the woman who asked me out of her wedding?  These are our names:

1.  My name:  Varuna Lastname

2.  Her married name:  Varuna [Varuna's Lastname, spelled one letter different and pluralized, ex:  Doe vs. Doughs]

Basically I'm Jane Doe and she's Jane Doughs.

So, MIL started sending me cards with name #2 up there.  That really pissed me off. (They are all still friends).

DH must've said something finally, b/c this year my name has been correct for the last 2 sendings.

What is it with ILs? Seriously. My mother is a giant bag o' crazy, but she's never been anything but lovely and warm and polite to her kids-in-law. How hard is it, really, to tell yourself that your kid loves this person, so there must be something wonderful about them? Or even if there's not, that it's kid's life, and your being a btch won't help anything?

BMom, my mom says the same thing.  I try really hard not to complain about MIL to her, but sometimes I need to vent and I don't like doing it to DH.  My mother thinks MIL is BSC too.  I told her about the FB post and she was appalled.
