Wedding Woes

i don't know if this is vibe-worthy

dh is currently interviewing for a new job that will take him out of his hellacious current one.  the catch?  it could *possibly* entail us moving to texas, atlanta or arkansas.

on one hand, vibes for dh?  on the other, please don't make me move.

I will send him Texas or Atlanta vibes, but in good conscience, I can't send Arkansas vibes.  It's just not ethical.

i don't think it would be "good" texas like houston or dfw; i think it would be like galveston or odessa texas.

    Oh!

The only plus would be a hella nice house for what you are probably paying now.

No offense to the Texans on this board, but the only place I would consider would be Austin.

Oh, what am I saying?  I would take any city with a Target and an airport if it were offered to me.

Zsa, I understand. I never thought that Tx would be my forver place. I can't believe I've been here for 10 years.

Confession: I've been having serious thoughts of moving back home.

I thoroughly enjoyed Houston last month.  More so than I thought I would.

Zilla, you just haven't been to the right city.:)

I loved to visit the east coast, but there is no way I could live there for long. I'm too southern.

sadly, college bf did his masters there and i spent a lot of time visiting him so the town is rife with memories of him.  however, i imagine that actually living there would be different than just the ut campus.  oh, that and i am married with a kid on the way and 15 years out of that stupid relationship, so i guess it matters not at all.

i would like austin for its proximity to the salt lick.

where in TX? (extra vibes for Houston)

    ATL vibes.

I can't in good faith, give Arkansas vibes.

remember, COL in TX is much lower than DC. (not sure about ATL) - so your $$$ will go a lot further, and you could easily get a McMansion if you want.

I think I'm too midwestern for either coast.  I might be able to get along in the south.
