Wedding Woes

::zsa-zsa::

In one day of testing myself, I have become a pro.

I'm testing one and two hours after eating, just to see the difference and have the data.

Last night, H was setting up my second (at home) monitor and I finally just asked him to let me do it, because he was taking so long.

Oh, and Dr. HS gave me both monitors for free, so I think that means he loves me and wants to have my babies (or he got them for free and the test strips and lances I had to get cost me over $100 for a 3 month supply and he feels badly for me).

Today I got a 131 one hour after lunch (spag w/ meatballs and minestrone soup), but it was down to 95 two hours after I ate. I think it just gets highest one hour after I eat when my metabolism is doing it's thing. We'll see.

Thanks for talking me off the ledge.

Diabetes, is it a woe. 12 people coming to your party, is not.

    So true, so true.

But really, these are all great reading for being unmedicated.  I will be surprised if they put you on anything, but I am not a doctor, so who knows.

Everyone knows that blood glucose monitors are the way to a woman's heart, so I'm sure you are right about Dr. HS.  But if he REALLY loved you, he would have also set them up for you.  But no, it took your H to do that.  He is the one with the true love.

Ok fine.  He wants your babies.  Maybe you can work out a three-way marriage.

OR - I can have brother husbands. Show the mormons how it should be done!

Also, I'm probably going to need to set up some sort of way to watch Mad Men with you, Bmom and a crapload of cocktails. I'm so freakin' excited.

Those are good readings, I've missed something obviously. You've been diagnosed diabetic Min?

jojo - I had a couple of unusally high readings but have no symptoms, so my GP referred me to a specialist (he doesn't know WTF is wrong with me). I am collecting data (as if I were diabetic) so the specialist has something to work with.

FTR - I am 5'7" and weigh 125. So, obesity related Type 2 is out of the question.

So all of these reading are just plain ol' me, no insulin, glucose levels.

My highest levels was 228. The one they took two days before my appendix came out was 151. I am taking bystolic and welchol, but have been for years and in those years my glucose has always been low, so I don't think that has anything to do with it.

    Ugh....I don't want diabetes.

Hmmm, interesting. I can't wait to see how your sugars are trending over the next few days.

I assume Dr HS drew a full work up including thyroid and HA1C?

Yes - I gave you more data up above. HAIC was 5.2. Thyroid was in the normal range, in the low end. He said if I was on thyroid meds, he'd up them, but didn't put me on anything.

Odd, should be interesting to see how things go. These readings were all before your surgery, right? I wonder if it was all a lead up and nothing long term.
