He's gone, but here's a baby elephant.
The Indianapolis Zoo's African elephant Kubwa gave birth to her third calf (shown here), a healthy 238 pounds. The newborn, still unnamed, makes Kubwa the first African elephant in the world to give birth three times via artificial insemination.
